SNF: The Day After

Hopefully everyone had a great Christmas. I’m super tired after doing the whole family thing and whatnot so I’ll just give a shortened version of SNF this week.  Here we go:

QBs

Start:

Carson Palmer (@KC): The Chiefs defense made Brady Quinn look good. Palmer won’t have any problems
Alex Smith (@DET): The Lions made Quinn and pretty much everybody else they’ve played look good. Smith will rebound from a bad game last week

Sit:

Kyle Orton (@PHI): The Eagles are about to lock up the NFC East and have been doing it with defense. Orton won’t have much success.
Jason Campbell (@DAL): The Cowboys were able to force Drew Brees into a lot of mistakes last week and will certainly make Campbell look just as bad, if not worse.

RBs

Start:

Beanie Wells (@STL): The Rams defense is pretty terrible and Wells’ tough rushing style are a good combo for a huge game
Ryan Grant (@SEA): The Seahawks haven’t done anything spectacular this year and Grant is turning on his late season knockout running style. He’ll make his owners happy

Sit:

Joseph Addai (@NYJ): I don’t know how they’re doing it but the Jets are stopping pretty much every RB they’ve faced this year. Addai won’t be any different
Jamaal Charles (@CIN): Though they were lit up last week against the Chargers, the Chiefs aren’t on their level so the Bengals will have a field day

WRs

Start:

Everyone on the Saints (@TB): They’re playing the Bucs…what more do you need?
Randy Moss (@JAC): After getting criticized for “dogging it” moss came back with a good game. The Jags’ secondary isn’t that good so Moss will be going deep a lot for lots of points

Sit:

Devin Hester (@MIN): The Vikings gave up big plays last week but Hester isn’t 100% and Cutler seems to forget that he’s the fastest guy on the team but I still wouldn’t start him
Calvin Johnson (@SF): He’s a no brainer number one receiver but with no Stafford he hasn’t been producing lately. The fact that Culpepper is 80 years old doesn’t help either.

D/ST

Start:

New Orleans Saints (@TB): The Saints haven’t had any big defensive plays the last few weeks. Look for Darren Sharper to make some plays in the secondary
San Francisco 49ers (@DET): The Niners have some good defensive stars but haven’t had any good match ups recently. The Lions will be a good game to pad stats and make plays for the Niners D

Sit:

New York Jets (@IND): Yeah they’re number one in total defense but I don’t wanna bet against Peyton Manning.
Chicago Bears (@MIN): I don’t know if anyone’s been starting them but hopefully you don’t have them. After the Favre/Chilly nothingfight, the offense will put up numbers and make both people look good

Waiver Wire:

Jerome Harrison (RB, Cleveland Browns)(@OAK): So I don’t know if anyone else saw what he did last week, if not then you’ve been living under a rock. Get him if you can
Maurice Morris (RB, Detroit Lions)(@SF): Morris went off for 126 and a TD. He’s a solid RB if you need someone to fill in. Scoop him up.

That’s it for me. Later guys!
